It’s difficult to recreate all the powers of the legendary Rod of Aaron without making it an artifact (even a mythic low-level character shouldn’t have one), but Catherine uses it, so I had to try. Later she, er, “exhausts the Rod”… making her sisters laugh loud… but another weapon will be ready for her.

Desert Prophet’s Rod
Aura moderate transmutation; CL 10th
Slot none; Price 30,000 gp; Weight 10 lbs.
This long, crooked rod has several abilities that only work in the hands of a good possessor.
-It functions as a rod of the python, but if thrown to the ground it can take the shape of any reptile that can be summoned by summon monster III.
-It has the abilities of an utilitarian rod.
-The rod’s crook blooms once per day with whatever nonmagical herbs or fruits are most useful for the wielder at the moment (edible fruits if in the desert, wolfsbane if lycanthropes are near, curative herbs if someone is ill or wounded).
-Hidden spring 1/day.
-Lastly, the wielder can create a purifying spring using the rod. Every creature bathing in the spring’s water is granted the benefits of cleanse. If used this way, the rod is destroyed and permanently loses all its powers.
