Elemental Imbalance Curse Variant: Metal and Wood

The Elemental Imbalance oracle curse is a good choice for an oracle with an elemental theme, but it covers only the four basic elements. What about oracles of Metal and Wood that would like it? Well, this is for them.

This post already appeared for patrons only on my Patreon page. If you wish to see stuff in advance and have access to other rewards, please consider donating!

Oracle Corruption Curse: Psychomethabolic and Thanks to My Patrons!

Here’s another corruption curse that was missing and COULD NOT MISS, since it fulfills my dream to have a psychic casting Oracle! Do you think that I could waive the initial penalty, the madness? Casting psychic spells could already be both an advantage and a disadvantage for a divine caster? Hmmm...
Also, happy New Year and, as every month, a big thank you to Zabor and Cecil Maye, who donate every month $ 3 or more to my Patreon page!

Psychometabolic (Corruption Curse)
Your mind was awakened to fulfill its real psychic potential, but this gift also brought a burden. You are affected by a lesser madness (see Horror Adventures) that can’t be cured by any means. The spells you cast are considered occult spells rather than divine, and you use emotion and thought components rather than verbal and somatic.
At 5th level, add detect thoughts and mindlink to your list of spells known.
At 10th level, add thought shield IV to your list of spells known.
At 15th level, add tower of iron will III to your list of spells known.

Oracle Corruption Curse: Amoral

Corruption curses for oracles were introduced in Horror Realms. They applied the concept of corruption -a progressive afflictions that grants powers related to a theme, but at the price of a growing stain- to the similar mechanic of an oracle’s curse. All corruptions created for horror adventures had their curse counterpart. Sadly, some corruptions that were created later still have not. Until now.

 Amoral (Corruption Curse)
Evil committed in the past from you or your ancestors haunts you, but gives also a way to atone your sins. You have an aura of evil as an evil cleric of your curse level, and spells and effects based on alignment affect you as if you were evil, regardless of your true alignment. You may take levels in any class ignoring its alignment prerequisites.
At 5th level, you may cast spells with the chaotic, evil, good, or lawful descriptor freely without risking to shift your alignment.
At 10th level, you add atonement to your list of known spells.
At 15th level, you can alter or suppress your aura, appearing to be of any alignment you wish and being affected by spells and effects as if you had that alignment for a number of rounds per day equal to your curse level. These rounds need not to be consecutive.

New Oracle Curse: Psychometabolic

Horror Adventures offered us new rules on corruptions, ways for every character to risk damnation and acquire new fabulous powers. Then, Horror Realms converted each existing corruption into an oracle curse, for the joy of oracle lovers like me.
But then, the Psychometabolic corruption in Psychic Anthology came out, and there was no matching curse. Maybe we'll see it one day. But until then...

Psychometabolic Curse
Your mind was awakened to fulfill its real psychic potential, but this gift also brought a burden. You are affected by a lesser madness (see Horror Adventures) that can’t be cured by any means. In addition, your oracle spells and spell-like abilities are considered psychic instead of divine, and use thought and emotion components.
At 5th level, you gain the psychic magic special ability and a pool of psychic energy containing 2 PE. You choose a number of spells from the psychic’s list with a total cost amounting to your number of PE. These spells must not be of a higher level than the highest-level oracle spells you are able to cast. Once chosen, the spells can’t be changed.
At 10th level, your psychic energy pool increases to 7 PE. You may reallocate these points to spells different from the ones you chose at 5th level.
At 15th level, your psychic energy pool increases to 14 PE. You may reallocate these points to spells different from the ones you chose at 5th and 10th level.

New Oracle Curse: Compassionate

Oracle Curse: Compassionate

You are a merciful being, and it requires you an effort to harm someone. You cannot benefit from spells or effects that cause rage (like a skald’s raging song) and are always sickened during the first round of combat. You also add calm emotions and charm person to your spell list as 1st-level spells known.
At 5th level, you add daze monster and mantle of calm to your spell list as 2nd-level spells known.
At 10th level, you add suggestion to your spell list as a 3rd-level spell known and charm monster to your spell list as a 4th-level spell known.
At 15th level, you gain the constant benefits (but not the penalties) of mantle of calm during combat.
