Rico was another character I struggled with when converting him to Pathfinder, but he soon found his niche in Gestalt. The Artisan support class comes from The Experienced Player’s Encyclopedy of Esoterica.

Hunt: As a single action you can select a creature you can see and make it the target of your hunt. You get a +3 on attack rolls and skill checks directly targeting (or pertaining to) the target of your hunt. You cannot hunt another target until your current target is dead, flees (i.e., is no longer relevant), or 1 hour passes.
Track: You gain Detect (hunted).
Boost: You can spend a Hero Dice to gain an Absolute bonus on a check to track the target of your hunt.
Secondary Class Features
Crafter: You gain a +3 bonus on attempts made to craft or repair an item.
Boost: You can spend 1 Hero Dice to give yourself an Absolute bonus on a single check made to craft or repair an item.
Skilled Artisan: Your Profession skill covers 1 additional kind of profession. Remember to record these and indicate which mental ability modifier covers it. (This would be the second kind of Profession covered by your Profession skill.) (blacksmith, woodman [Wis])

Lineage Traits
Darkvision: You can see in the dark quite well. This lets you see in the dark up to 120 feet out as if it were normal lighting (though nothing beyond that).
Hearty: You are Professional with Fortitude saves. If you’d already be Professional from your classes, you become Exceptional instead.
Steady: Your speed is never modified by armor or encumbrance (until you are over your maximum encumbrance, then it applies fully).
Cultural Traits
Way of the World: You have traveled far and wide and have friends (and enemies) in every trading hub. You become Professional in Merchant Lore. If you’d already be Professional from your classes, you become Exceptional instead.

Biography
Rico belongs to a subraces of dwarves who left the mountains for a surface life, trying to get along with other races, and are for this a little scorned by traditionalist underground dwarves. Orphaned at a young age, he learned to fare for himself as a woodcutter and blacksmith for both the villagers and the lords of the land (Angela’s family). So he met and befriended the other party members. His best friend is Anton, who treats him as a naive boy and promises to protect and teach him, but is actually often protected himself by the dwarf. Rico is not prideful or ambitious in any way, and just wishes for a quiet life of work and peace in his home woods.
