Fool’s Thank You to My Patrons

I was thinking of publishing an April Fool’s joke today, but I’d rather thank Ronald J Paris and Zabor, once again, to be still here with me after all this time.

Tomorrow, a new piece of exclusive content will be on my Patreon page. Look forward to it!

Ability Score Modifiers: Specialized (1 RP) +2 Int, +2 Cha, -2 Str.

Four-Legged Sprint (1 RP) If a ratonga has nothing in hand, it may drop to all fours as a free action, increasing its speed to 30 feet. A ratonga can stand on two legs again as a move action.

Agile Diplomat (4 RP) Ratonga gain a +2 racial bonus on Climb and Diplomacy checks. This replaces tinker.

The ultimate form of the Phantom will need this (I can’t believe it was not created by Paizo since some gods are focused on this topic).

Erik the Angel Phantom, Level 12

Erik is still different from the man (ghost) he was at the end of The Broken Bards of Paris. His supernatural powers are grown, and he learned a new kind of “ensemble magic” born from inspiration that becomes stronger when his companions perform together with him. Most of all, adventuring with them has taught him selflessness, compassion, and a bit of boastful joy- and his good deeds have earned him an “advancement of career” in the afterlife. Not only his alignment changes, but new powers will be available to the Phantom, and he will use those powers to inspire and heal afterwards.

Erik the Angel Phantom, Level 7

When Erik first meets Cyrano and Quasimodo in The Broken Bards of Paris, he is a very changed man. He is actually no more a “man”: guilt and anger drove him away from mortal life transforming him into the very thing he had pretended to be- a Phantom.

(However, an unfettered phantom of Pathfinder was not the right choice for him. An undead spirit, not necessarily evil, with regrets in the mortal world is a ghost. And ghosts can have some VERY interesting alternate abilities).

Erik the Angel Phantom, Level 1

The last hero from Aaron Hollingsworth’s novels was the most difficult to “translate” in Pathfinder. Even in the books, he was more of a NPC or a deus ex machina than a player character. Also, he changed more than once through the whole story. I tried to render him anyway.

Before The Broken Bards of Paris, in his own original novel, Erik the Phantom of the Opera was a recluse, a genius, a self-proclaimed trickster, and a talented musician- he is the only true bard of his group, even if most of his “powers” can be ascribed to simple prestidigitation. He also was very self-centered and egoist in love. This is how his path begins. He will be very different at the end of it.
