New Wizard Arcane School: Song
Some arcane schools don’t rely on elements or concepts but rather on arts. Song represents harmony, beauty, knowledge, joy, and memory. Wizards who specialize in this school are often confused with bards.
A wizard who specializes in the song school gains a number of school powers and one bonus spell slot of each level that the wizard can cast, from 1st on up. This bonus spell slot must be used to prepare a spell from the song school’s spell list. Unlike a normal arcane school, the song school requires the wizard to select the void elemental school as his opposition school. A wizard must expend two spell slots to prepare a spell from the void elemental school as normal. He does not need to select a second opposition school.
Sound Magic: At 1st level, add the following spells to your wizard spell list at the listed spell level: 2nd- enthrall, marching chant, 5th- 6th- deafening song bolt, frozen note, music of the spheres, song of discord, 8th- song of discord, greater.
Power in the Voice (Su): You can cast all spells of the song school using only verbal components.
Songweaver (Su): You gain a +2 enhancement bonus on Perform (sing) skill checks. This bonus increases by +1 for every five wizard levels you possess. In addition, you gain the countersong ability as a bard of your same level and can use it with the Perform (sing) skill for a number of rounds per day equal to your wizard level. At 20th level, your Perform (sing) check is instead treated as a dispel check; if successful, the spell you tried to counter is dispelled (as dispel magic).
Pervasive Melody (Su): At 8th level, all spells of the song school you cast are automatically affected as if by the Enlarge Spell Spell metamagic feat, but with no increase in spell level. This also applies to spell-like abilities with the sonic descriptor, effects from magic items that use sound, and effects from magic musical instruments that you use.
