In my home setting, steel dragons are rare and urban, and many dragonblooded humanoids are their offspring. This is something I’d love to see in Pathfinder. I modified an article from Monster Mayhem again.

Steel Dragon
The good-looking wizard’s shape suddenly bulges into that of a huge dragon with bright grey, clever eyes.

Base Statistics
CR 3; Size Small; Hit Dice 4d12
Speed 60 ft.
Natural Armor +3; Breath Weapon line, 2d4 acid
Str 11, Dex 12, Con 13, Int 10, Wis 11, Cha 13
Special Abilities
Change Shape (Su): A steel dragon can assume any animal or humanoid form 5/day as if using polymorph.
Material Plane Infusion (Su): While on a different plane, a juvenile or older steel dragon can influence its surroundings as full-round action, causing an area with a radius of 30 feet × the dragon’s age category number to be treated as an extension of the Material Plane. This works as the planar refuge spell. The effect is immobile and lasts for 10 days or until the dragon dies or uses this ability again.
Minor Arcane Shield (Su): A steel dragon's spell resistance against 1st- and 2nd-level arcane spells is higher than normal by +10.
Moderate Arcane Shield (Su): A steel dragon's spell resistance against 3rd- and 4th-level arcane spells is higher than normal by +10.
Poison Resistance (Ex): A steel dragon gets a +10 racial bonus on all Fortitude saving throws against poison.
Poisonous Breath (Su): Instead of a line of acid, a steel dragon can breathe a cone of poisonous gas. Every creature within the area of the poisonous gas must succeed on a Fortitude save or take 1 point of Constitution damage per age category of the dragon. It must then succeed on a second save at the same DC 1 minute later or take the same amount of damage.
Spell-Like Abilities (Sp): A steel dragon gains the following spell-like abilities, usable at will upon reaching the listed age category.
Very Young- prestidigitation
Juvenile- charm person
Adult- enthrall
Old- suggestion
Ancient- mass charm person
Great Wyrm- mass suggestion
Environment any urban
Organization solitary
Treasure triple
Steel dragons are sometimes called “the Material Plane dragons”, or also “urban dragons”. They are most often found in humanoid form, living in cities and posing as ancient wizards or sages, to pursue their curious study of humanoid life. A steel dragon devotedly protects its chosen home and friends.
Steel Dragon Bloodline
A steel dragon is considered a true (metallic) dragon for the purpose of a sorcerer or bloodrager taking the draconic bloodline, an oracle taking the Dragon mystery, the Draconic Heritage and Draconic Manifestation feats, and similar effects. Its energy type is acid, and the granted breath weapon is a 60-foot line.
